My remix for the special Limited Edition EP and my first remix under 130bpm. Getting plays from the more left field end of the radio DJ spectrum due to the folky vocals I guess but I think Eliza’s vocal is breathtaking.
The imagined Village is an ambitious reinvention of the English Folk tradition, embracing modern-day culture in all its diversity. Classic folk songs are skillfully reworked with the sounds and voices of today, updating the tradition for a new generation.
Featured artists on the forthcoming album, spearheaded by Simon Emmerson, include The Copper Family, Sheila Chandra, Benjamin Zephaniah, Martin Carthy, Eliza Carthy, Paul Weller, Transglobal Underground, Tunng, Chris Wood, Billy Bragg, Tiger Moth, The Gloworms, Dhol Foundation.
The EP features three other re-interpretations of traditional english folk by Billy Bragg, Martin Carthy, Eliza Carthy and Sheila Chandra
