The Imagined Village EP by Various

My remix for the special Limited Edition EP and my first remix under 130bpm. Getting plays from the more left field end of the radio DJ spectrum due to the folky vocals I guess but I think Eliza’s vocal is breathtaking.

The imagined Village is an ambitious reinvention of the English Folk tradition, embracing modern-day culture in all its diversity. Classic folk songs are skillfully reworked with the sounds and voices of today, updating the tradition for a new generation.

Featured artists on the forthcoming album, spearheaded by Simon Emmerson, include The Copper Family, Sheila Chandra, Benjamin Zephaniah, Martin Carthy, Eliza Carthy, Paul Weller, Transglobal Underground, Tunng, Chris Wood, Billy Bragg, Tiger Moth, The Gloworms, Dhol Foundation.

The EP features three other re-interpretations of traditional english folk by Billy Bragg, Martin Carthy, Eliza Carthy and Sheila Chandra

Bully Boys / Zombie March by Mako Shark

‘B’ movie samples eh? A cliche of course but they are usually good value.

This was my second single for Stellar Music as Mako Shark and it got caught up in another distro nightmare so it was released proper late but “that’s showbiz” as they say.

These are the last tunes I did in Reason before moving over to start writing in Live after the restrictions of Reason got too much for me.

Supertunes by Haj & Mental

The duo are un-masked (again). This was our debut release and we were going to keep who Haj & Mental are a secret but Release records stuck it in their press release!

Ahh well.. Me and Tommy Stisch loved the drama and good friends giving us bad reactions :-)

Gang Boy / Club Jacket by Mako Shark

The debut Mako Shark single on Stellar Music. A departure from the Stabilizer style with rougher beats and a funkier edge, hopefully.

Also did a video for Club Jacket, click the play button below to see the full glory.

Unbreakable by Stabilizer

Featuring the delightful vocal talents of Rachael Roberts this odd little electro tune was originally inspired by a Metallica tune believe it or not.
